Right Wing Assembly

main spar jigged with aileron and flap support

The main spar was added to the jig along with the flap and aileron supports.  Similar to the rear spar, the distance from the main spar web to the guide wire was made constant from root to tip as well as level across the spar.  I set up my long level, shimming with blue paint tape until I got a 90 reading on the digital level at the root.  The way I have my spars jigged at the root using bar stock, makes the root more or less constant.  The spars were tweaked until I got 90 degree the entire length from root to tip.  I really understand the jigging process better this time around, and time spent now pays later.  As it stands everything is within .03125, and I am very pleased with that.

I really like having the digital level.  Somehow I am more satisfied seeing a number than looking at a bubble.
