After priming all the parts, I riveted on the .125 backing plates to the false spar. I used 1097 flush rivets to hold the plate nuts on and 470 -4 rivets for the plates.
I also fabricated the brace for the flap drive that runs between center ribs 1 & 2. It’s 2 attach angles and a piece of .040 that connects between the ribs. I also added a small attach angle with a nut plate that will hold an adel clamp for the Aux tank fuel line. I ended up drilling out the stiffener angle that was on the inboard side of Rib #1. It did not line up well with the angle I made for the flap drive support. I remade the stiffener with a slightly longer flange so everything would work together.
