Began riveting on the left wing nose ribs. I’ve put this off for as long as possible, just to have the luxury of removing them to get at bolts and clearance, etc. Tonight i just put on 3 to see how things go. My neighbor Mark helped with a couple. A long offset rivet set must be used since the proximity of the adjacent nose rib attach angle prevents the use of a straight set and/or squeezer. It’s easier with 2 people so the gun holder can hold the rivet set to prevent it turning in the gun. The rivets came out decent, you’ve got to be pretty careful with the 3 size rivets….they are easy to overdrive. or otherwise mangle.
They look a little funny as i touched up the edge with rattle can primer where they had been trimmed. I dont care much how it looks since this will all be closed up inside the wing.
